A Song to Silence the World: The Beginnings of a Literary Journal

We live in a world that sits in darkness and loves the dark more than light. The goal of ASSW, then, is to publish and circulate writing that bleeds bibline and shines of the goodness of Christ. We are a journal that’s consciously Protestant, consciously contra mundum, and looking forward to that day when the world will be silenced by a heavenly song. While we wait, we’re publishing beautiful writing to inspire, encourage, and build up. Will you join us on this adventure?

O sing a new song to the Lord,
for wonders he hath done:
His right hand and his holy arm
him victory hath won.

The Lord God his salvation
hath caused to be known;
His justice in the heathen's sight
he openly hath shown.

Psalm 98:1-2, Scottish Metrical Version

About the Editor

My name is Janelle Ekpo, a formerly homeschooled student from South Carolina with two unpublished books under her belt, (a third one in the works!), and a love for poetry. My desire is to get traditionally published someday, and until then, to publish the works of other talented writers in ASSW.
